What does Musterhaus mean?
It means a model/sample house. As in, the first house(s) built on a housing development to show what future houses will look like. It seems to go with the Neubauten/Grundstück/Anarchitektur theme we've got going...

What's the difference between Anarchitektur and Musterhaus?
Anarchitektur is the first CD of the Musterhaus series of releases.

Where can I buy it?
It is a subscription-only series, and will only be available directly from the band. You can subscribe either on the 25th Anniversary Tour or through this website.

When do I get anything?
If you subscribe on the tour, you will get Anarchitektur, the first CD of the series, immediately, and then the rest will be sent to you when they are released. Because of the tour, we will not mail out CD #1 until middle of May, and the rest will follow in roughly 3 month intervals.

What if I only want one?
Anarchitektur is available on the tour and for supporters of neubauten.org as an individual CD for 20 €. Future releases will generally not be sold as individual CDs except as occasional over-runs for existing subscribers.

Can I buy Anarchitektur on the tour and then subscribe later?
Sure. You should then subscribe after the send out date for Anarchitektur to avoid getting a double copy, and then your subscription will get you CDs #2, 3, 4, and 5.

Can I subscribe later and get back issues?
We can't guarantee the availability of any back issues. In general we will only make roughly as many CDs as there are subscribers at that time. Any leftovers will only be offered to current subscribers.

What's included in the digital release?
Digital subscribers can download the albums in either compressed (mp3) or uncompressed (wav) formats, and the artwork will be available in PDF format.

How about downloads for CD subscribers?
Since some CD subscribers may have a bit of a wait for the mail, we will also offer an mp3 version of a release for a period of time for CD subscribers.

If I subscribe later, do I still pay 100 € for 4 CDs?
In general, yes, the 100 € is for the next 4 CDs. The project is currently planned for 2 years, so towards the end there won't be 4 upcoming CDs, and the subscription rate will probably be pro-rated accordingly.

Is this Phase III/how does this relate to neubauten.org?
No this is not Phase III, and it is entirely independent of neubauten.org, other than that the whole thing is run by the roughly same people. The supporter project on neubauten.org will continue as planned, if you have questions about that please try asking on that other site.

Do supporters get a discount?
Sorry this is a completely separate project and there's no association/discounts between the two.

How are the CDs different from the supporter CDs?
The Musterhaus line of releases is intended to give the band an outlet for more experimental impulses and exploration. For example, the only one produced so far, Anarchitektur, is a single 46 minute track that I would be hard pressed to call a "song".

What do you mean by experimental?
Whatever the band thinks it means. Anyone who knows their music well would know better than to try to second guess...

Will CDs really be released every 3 months?
Maybe not exactly on the day, but roughly, yes. The first one will start on May 15th, except for those who get the CD/subscription on the tour.

I paid for my subscription but I can't login, what should I do?
Email musterhaus@neubauten.org with a copy of your confirmation email (if paid by PayPal) or a copy of your initial subscription email (if by bank transfer) and your desired password.
